Song of the Day (161): Travelin’ Band – Creedence Clearwater Revival

Song of the Day (161) - Travelin’ Band by Creedence Clearwater Revival

This song had me from the opening chords with Doug Clifford’s drumming charging the whole piece with a frantic energy. John Fogerty wanted to pay homage to one of his idols, Little Richard, thus he added the saxophone and some Little Richard Like yells mid-way through the song.

First heard it when I copy of the album Cosmo’s Factory wound up at my house as part of a record club deal. Pay one penny for a stack of records with no obligation other then the record we send each month and charge you $1,000 for that disc.
