Kirsty MacColl came from British folk music royalty, her father is Ewan MacColl. She drifted in and out of various bands, made her mark singing with Shane MacGowan on the Pogues “A Fairytale of New York” and her own hits like “There’s a Guy Works Down the Chip Shop Swears He’s Elvis.”
She passed away in December 200 at age 41 in a freak boating accident off the coast of Mexico.
